I’m in a show! One Night Only

So, I’m doing this amazing thing and want you all to come.
It’s called Fear Experiment℠ (FE) is a unique, fun way to create community, push oneself, learn something new, and laugh. A lot. Strangers come together to learn an art-form, rehearse for two and half months, and then are rockstars for a night, in front of hundreds. For people not looking to be the next Baryshnikov or Tina Fey but looking to challenge themselves, meet others, and have a consistent source of laughter and support.

And while I wouldn’t mind being Tina Fey, to be honest, I’m not. But still would love you to come and be one of the folks making audience suggestions that will help us creat magic for you in the moment – something beautiful right now-

The show is open to all ages, so bring the gang.
Keep calm and be kind on, Hillary

Mindful Metta Mondays In Evanston

So excited, humbled, honored to announce that I’ll be teaching at this amazing place, The Heartwood Center, in Evanston.

Mindful Metta Mondays start Monday June 6th, 7-8pm at the Heartwood Center!
Four-week sessions in June, July and August. $72 for the month or $20 drop in. Registration will open in the next day or so. Each session will integrate meditation and writing to help us cultivate Metta or loving kindness for ourselves and each other.

The Sun is a Miracle

The sun is so far away (92.95 million miles to be precise) and its exact location in relation to us is so precise that one little hair this way or the other way and we do either cook or freeze.

So when you step outside today, won’t you please join me in pausing and feeling the sun, seeing the sun falling on things near you and appreciating this beauty, this miracle.

Make a beautiful day everyone.

The Page is Your Mirror

What happens inside you is reflected back. You come face-to-face with your own resistance, lack of balance, self loathing, and insatiable ego — and also with your singular vision, guts, and fortitude. No matter what you’ve achieved the day before, you begin each day at the bottom of the mountain. Isn’t this true for most of us?

  — Dani Shapiro, Still writing the Perils and Pleasures of a Creative Life

Today, all of us, let’s enjoy our journey up the mountain together. One sacred step at a time.

Loving kindness
