Hi friends! It’s a cold and wintry day here in Chicago and I’d like to ask you a favor.
A good friend of mine is a undergraduate student of psychology in the St. Louis area. He’s conducting a research project on meditation and decision making. And right now he needs more subjects in order to make the research valid.
If you would please consider participating by taking a survey that would be deeply appreciated. The deadline for completing the survey is March 4.

Thank you for participating in the study titled “Meditation and Decision-Making Competency.” You may take this online study anytime between now and Noon on Friday, March 4th. (In other words, please do not wait until that day to start the survey. This date indicates the last day that the survey will be available. Please go ahead and take the survey as soon as possible).
This survey will be between 30-60 minutes to complete, however, if you need you can take breaks and return when needed. It does not need to be completed in one sitting.
To participate in the survey, you will need the following information:
Here is your unique identifier: Lotus “XXXX”
The survey is anonymous but we need a way of identifying meditators from non-meditators. For your unique identifier please place in the “XXXX” after the word “Lotus” an area you affiliate with your meditation. This could be somewhere you meditate often, like “Mid-America Buddhist Association,” a group or class, or anywhere for that matter. If that makes you uncomfortable for any reason, you can just leave the word Lotus. Again, everything is anonymous, and no sensitive information will be collected regardless. At the end of the survey it will ask for this unique identifier just so we can separate the meditative practitioners.
