Contrary to popular paradigms that say happiness comes from success, it’s actually the other way round.
When we intentionally focus on the cultivation of our happiness and positivity, we are more creative, energized, and intelligent.
Thus the way to success is paved both professionally and personally.
Starting today, and for the next 21 days write down three things for which you are grateful that happened in the last 24 hours. Each day try to have three new things. They could be large or small. They could happen to you or to others. Appreciation of good things happening for others is what we call sympathetic joy.
Think about what caused these things to come about, to answer your life or the lives of others around you. Write down that proximate cause for the good thing that happened.
Finally, write a brief description of how you could set up conditions to get more of this good stuff into your life or the lives of those around you.
That’s it! Study show the doing this for 21 days will leave you feeling significantly happier. And all that happiness is going to set you up for all kinds of success.
