Tonight was the first night in a new Calm Chicago program, “First Wednesday Meditation.”
One guy came. Very nice. Very stressed. (And aren’t we all.)
As you all know, I have terrific confidence in meditation and love sharing it with others because this shit here – it really works!
I always have folks do a before and after card to describe their experience. It helps me see what works and helps them see the change.
Here was his before:
I love it! We really do possess the OFF-switch for our stress and an ON switch for happiness.
He asked for a book recommendation about meditation and suggested this, as I nearly always do, “Mindfulness in Plain English” by Bhante Gunaratana. You might like it too.
