Meditation Mini-Retreat: Rewarding & Gratifying

If you’re reading this blog and wondering what it’s like to actually practice at Calm Chicago, listen to what this man says about the retreat he attended July 25th.

When a friend invited me to go to a 4 hours meditation retreat I accepted not without some reluctancy. Would that be too long? Would I be able to stay still for sooo long?
But the experience proved to be completely rewarding and gratifying. The meditation was divided in blocks of increasing time, alternating sitting meditation, walking meditation and tai-chi movements. The place had a pleasant atmosphere, the temperature and light were perfect and there were no disturbing noises. The instructor Hillary had a very good knowledge of the practice she was sharing with us. The concepts were communicated very clearly and motivated me to really put an effort on what I was doing.
The experience has proved really useful to me and I definitely plan to sign up for the next retreat.
